This is such a helpful book to guide a scout leader in truly leading young boys to become better young men. The book gives good ideas for den meetings and activities for the boys.
This book is filled with wonderful scouting activities that also help the boys work towards their Faith in God as well. The activities range from those that help them on their Bobcat trail all the way to requirements in the Weblos program. I hope that many of these activities will still be in line with the new Scouting program because they sound fun! With so many activities to choose from though I'm sure there will be plenty that are useful.
This book is designed to streamline your activities so you don't have to spend so much time trying to incorporate Faith in God and Scouts. It's been really helpful and we use it nearly every week.
I bought this book thinking that it would assist me as a den leader to put together better den meetings for the boys. The reality is a bit different. Though interesting, it's very focused on religion (specifically from an LDS point of view), none of which I have any issues with but I was looking for something more "hands on" beyond the BSA program helps.
That being said, though the book didn't give me specifically what I was looking for, there were some good ideas in this book that I've been able to use with my den. So I'm giving it 3 stars.
